she is the Unique One
with eyes of grief
like an angel transpiring from darkness
delicately plucking a harp
spreading love of a new beginning
her echoes float amongst the stars
surviving as wishes
earthlings write poetry
we catch burst of light
astounded by every glimpse

My poem is another attempt at a “cento” inspired by Melissa’s prompt this week, “April Poems Brings May Centos”, a form that pays tribute to other poets, borrowing their lines to create something new. Here is a list of the lines I used, in order:
1. A Surreal Prose Poem – Lillian Hallberg
2. Seeking Flares of Hope – Paul Vincent Cannon
3. Adrift – kittyverses
4. A Poet’s Monologue at Midnight – Sanaa Rizvi
5. Night Sky – Rog
6. Impatient Soul – Dwight Roth
7. Future Lawns – Denise DeVries
8. Heights- Reena Saxena
9. Other Worldly- Grace
10. Moon’s Mystique- V. Sparrow

I love the coherence of your cento, what a wonderful tribute to the moon…
I love the selection of lines in your Miss Moonlight cento, Mish, and you’ve sewn them together seamlessly.
Very nicely done. Thanks for including my line in your peom.
Love the title, Mish, and the lines feel like they were meant to go together, as they do!
How lovely, the thread of mystical muse, delicately woven in this collocation of lines! Wonderful, Mish.

Lovely imagery and tribute to the moon, Mish!
A wonderful Cento Mish, and a beautiful conceit as to how we Earth poets receive inspiration from above…
I really like what you did with this! You’ve done well by Lady Moon.
Beautifully composed!
Gorgeous poem 🌝

This flows seamlessly. I love the artwork you chose.
A beautiful tribute to the moon with such a lovely flow! Love the lines you picked, Mish.
I like those last three lines in particular.

surviving as wishes”
