She is a regular writer and online host for dVerse Poets Pub. Michelle has been included in The Polaris Trilogy, published by Brick Street Poetry Inc. This world anthology was specially created for the Lunar Codex, an arts and culture “museum on the moon”. Along with “Chiaroscuro-Darkness and Light”, the digitized version of The Polaris Trilogy will travel with artists from around the globe to the Moon via SpaceX / Astrobotic Technologies Griffin Lander / NASA Viper Rover in 2024. Michelle finds her muse in the simplicity of nature and the complexities of life.
“If you can’t fly then run, if you can’t run then walk, if you can’t walk then crawl, but whatever you do you have to keep moving forward.”
Martin Luther King Jr.
If I were to tell you about me,
I would say I know who I think I am,
What I believe in and how I feel about life.
Other than that, I do not have a clue
Of what others perceive me to be.
Maybe I am not what who I think I am.
All I know is what inspires me,
what moves me,
what I need in my life,
whether I get it or not…..
I just know.
It took a very long time to figure that out.
Some other stuff about me:
I am 62. That’s what my birth certificate says. I don’t know how it happened.
I love the diverse, open-minded, beautiful country that I live in.
As a mother, I can attest to one of life’s greatest challenges.
As a wife, I can admit it isn’t always easy. Marriage is about work and compromise, like any other agreement or commitment.
I like a good cup of tea in the morning………every morning……or look out.
For almost 40 years, you could find me sitting on the floor surrounded by babies, toddlers or preschoolers. Early Childhood Education has been the most rewarding professional career I could ever imagine.
Losing people I love has changed my life. It has changed me.
Sharing my experiences and expressing my thoughts are things I feel compelled to do. I believe we were put on this earth to share with others. I think that’s why we have different gifts, talents, and knowledge. Remember “Show and Tell” in kindergarten? It’s a good concept. Why stop there? We have so much to learn from each other.
Hope you enjoy my poetry and ponderings of life.
Have a great day!
I like this very much. You’ve sorted out what counts, and lived long enough to know how loss changes you. Beautiful blog.

Wonderful “About.” My dad was born in Canada but died in WWII when I was a baby (he had dual citizenship). I love to see your passion for your wonderful country.

Hi! I am glad we have met here in the world of blogging! I think we are going to enjoy each other’s blogs. By the way, I love Canada. My brother and sister attended Niagara University in upstate NY. So…when I was little, we would go to Canada quite often when visiting them. Also, my wife and I spent New Year’s Eve in Montreal in 2011. A little too cold…I have been to Montreal in the summer too. I will stick to my summer visits!
Glad to hear you love Canada! Niagara Falls on the Canadian side is SO much more spectacular. (just sayin’) I have not been to Montreal…yet. As far as the cold…it is nice to have such extremes in our seasons. Makes you appreciate them more. Living in Southern Ontario, we really have some warm summers, but we try to save our visits to family in New Mexico and California for the winter months to escape a bit of the cold. 🙂
I grew up in NY, and attended college in Boston. I have only lived in SoCal for a little over 2 years. So. I know all about the cold. And, I totally agree, the Canadian side of Niagara is way nicer! I honestly never hated the cold, but now that I live somewhere that has amazing weather, I could never go back to the cold haha.By the way. NM is awesome. I love that state. So cool.
Yes, I agree, this IS a beautiful blog. So glad to find others of like-mindedness. I started my very first blog on grandmothering; hoping to have a discussion forum where grandparents could share things we’ve learned along the way. I am so new to blogging; I am getting bogged as I blog. But, I wanted to impart similar things as you have done and what a great community this is for doing just that. Thanks for the inspiring photos and poems.
Thank you for taking the time to visit! 🙂 This truly is a wonderful blogging community. I’m sure you will enjoy! Your blog looks very interesting…I may have to follow! 🙂
Thanks for stopping by my blog and liking one of my posts. I am impressed with what you are doing here. Love the MLK quote. Keep up the good work.

Thanks for revisiting my blog and liking my post on the longevity benefits of walking an hour a day. Nice pics and posts here.
Oh, you are lovely! And I really like the “show and tell” reference–maybe if the whole world could do that, there’d be more peace? Or is that foolish idealism?
It seems as though you have pursued peace.
I try to. Thank you for visiting. 🙂
