Luna-ticked

I am a speck

In the float of fairy dust

Swept in spirals

Iridescent futility

Give me some gusto

Please

The sun dazzles me dizzy

On cloudy days

My eyes tire of the roll

My firefly flicker is

          S-l-o-w-l-y   f-a—-ding

While you dangle, debonair

Among the diamonds

You and your crescent grin

Written for Lill’s poetic prompt, “Razzle Dazzle Me!”.  Not feeling very sparkly lately. Thought I’d blame it on the moon.

Self Reflection

gazing into the still lake
I see a stranger’s face
staring back –
distorted with worry
brows knotted
mouth a tight slash
and then
I trail my fingers through
the cool water
inhale deeply
and watch as ripples
sweep away my cares
allowing peace to
settle over me

#16.”Worrying is a waste of time, but that won’t stop me.”

What could be

Is nothing more than fear

Merely stopping you in your tracks

To steal your moments

Pocket your dreams

And play with your intentions
