Illumination

                                                                                                         

Embellished evergreen,

Bestowed with light

Reflecting intention

To buy, to wrap, to please

The  expectation

Of a traditional nation

Guiding us blindly to follow

                                                        

Unlike the heavenly star

So pure and unpretentious

Sending us light

In the simplest form

To lead us to LOVE

With nothing to unwrap

But our hearts

Santa’s on the Ceiling

Santa’s on the ceiling

Elf is on the shelf

I’m eating figgy pudding

Feeling sorry for myself

 

I want to fly away

With the partridge in the tree

Let the sugar plum fairies

Cast a spell upon me

 

They can dance upon my head

While I sleep ‘til January

Forgive me, Father Christmas

But this show is much too merry
