have you seen your light?
have you seen the way it
slips through the crevices
of mournful minds?
you bring the dawn in
murkiness of night
spread your weary wings
to take flight
fearless through the fire
you have left me sun-soaked
surrounded in seeds of hope

I love the sunflower and your poem with seeds of hope!
The sunflower is special. They grew wild on our Nebraska farm. Here, Texas, we plant them in our gardens and maybe a flowerbed. And a cash crop in places. The indigenous people, American Indians, may have also related them to ones light.
Good read, Mish.
..
Love the flower, and your poem, they link well
Stunning tribute to the Ukraine. Love that you used both languages in the title.
“you bring the dawn in murkiness of night spread your weary wings to take flight fearless through the fire”… sigh .. this is such a beautiful and touching write, Mish!
Mish, what a lovely tribute to Ukraine and Ukrainians. Very touching.
We all need some seeds of hope to sow in dark times! Beautifully put, Mish!
Very cleverly done….the sunflower being a strong image of Ukraine…potent imagery..
“surrounded in seeds of hope”
The only good place to be now.
Happy Easter
Much💛love
