This is where the sun shines
In lower ground
On weeds and weary souls
We’ve all but given up on
Beacons of hope
Brilliantly borrowed from
Selfish fools unable to
See the light
This is where the sun shines
On shattered hearts
Wide open to receive
The greatest gold of all
I like It. 🙂
Thank you. 🙂
I love this, especially the hopeful tone at the end! 🙂
Thanks so much, elizabeth. 🙂
That is so nice–very uplifting.
Thanks, glad you enjoyed it. 🙂
This poem reminds me of these lines from Joe Versus the Volcano – “Patricia: My father says that almost the whole world is asleep. Everybody you know. Everybody you see. Everybody you talk to. He says that only a few people are awake and they live in a state of constant total amazement.”
Wow! That’s a great quote. I’m flattered that you found the connection. Thanks for stopping in. 🙂
We have collectively come together in the light …Finding each other in the vibration of the miraculous…that “without the darkness we cannot see the stars”…A quote from Martin Luther King…I see you and hear you…we are love… Your writing is fabulous and I look forward to following your posts… Heart to heart Robyn
