Currents

DSCF6344

You can be part of the flow
The current that carries
So many souls in transit
Searching for truth
Sailing for certainty
Or you can finally let go
Abandon this ship
This mere mission of clarity

For life is not a search
Life is the water
The waves caressing the rock
The ripples of rhythm
Keeping time with your heart
The sun on your face
Warming your skin
In this very moment

  4. nice…i think for many life is a search, though in it we foten miss the river that flows through which could be the answer all along…

    • I think many believe that life is a search. I don’t think it’s meant to be one…just an opinion that inspired me here. The river running through with the answer all along….wow, I could really visualize that. Thanks. 🙂

  8. A wonderful reminder in this poem..I like the phrase “sailing for certainty, or abandon the mission for clarity.” Nicely, and gently, put.
