Space without substance
Time without tolerance
Minds apart
Stabs in the heart
Form without motion
Endless erosion
Words unheard
Intentions deferred
Reach without touching
Nudge without crushing
Anger intact
Missing the facts
Love without action
Emotions in traction
Nothing but air
Hope and a prayer
This is really a lovely image and poem. π
Thank you. I appreciate your comments π
love that last line and the photo you chose.
Thank you. π
Wonderful and accurate depictions! Good job!
Thanks for your comments! π
To find beauty to pour into the void is to believe more in beauty than emptiness… there is no emptiness that an appetite for beauty can’t satisfy.
I agree with that to a point. When I write about something dark, it is a true emotion that I need to express at the time. There is always hope for the future.
I enjoyed the contrasts in your post. For me, your image reflected and portrayed all the unimaginable beauty to be found in a vast “emptiness” – even though a void can seem all consuming…
That caught me at the heartstrings! Funny how poetry is so much like a painting, left to interpretation often according to our own worldview and life experiences. “Reach without touching Nudge without crushing” such a an empty relationship is what I saw. Very poignant!! Blessings, Oliana
Yes, that is what I was trying to express. Thank you for your comments. Very much appreciated. π
I love the poem and imagery. Sad, but not without hope. Good job!
Thank you. I write better from a darker place, I suppose. Yes, there is always HOPE! π
Lovely!!!
My favorite line “……Intentions deferred…..” I really connected with that one. Thanks for sharing and thanks for stopping by. Come again.
Thanks for your comments. Your blog looks very interesting. π
So sad… how unfulfilling. Yet you end with hope. π
Sometimes I feel the need to write about the feeling of hopelessness, even though I believe there is always a sliver of hope in the darkest of circumstances.
Thank you for taking a little tour through my blog tonight. So sweet of you. π
Trying to catch up…so many I try to follow and you all are quite a prolific bunch π
